A short inventory of the cookies this site sets, what each one exists to do, how long each survives, and the browser-level controls that switch them off.
Cookies in brief
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in the browser so the site can recognize that browser between page loads. Cookies are what let a shopping cart keep its contents while other pages are browsed. This site has no customer login, so no cookie here identifies a person by name — cookies recognize browsers, and order details travel separately through checkout.
Cookies this site uses
Three groups cover everything set here. Necessary cookies run the shop itself: the cart cookie that holds cart contents, session cookies that carry a visitor through checkout, and a cookie recording a cookie-notice choice. The shop does not function with these blocked. Analytics cookies produce aggregate statistics — which pages get visited, which artwork gets viewed — with no interest in any individual visitor. Advertising-measurement cookies allow Google to attribute a purchase to a shopping ad, which is how a store advertising on Google confirms its ads lead anywhere.
Lifespan
Session cookies evaporate when the browser closes. The cart cookie persists for 30 days, so an unfinished cart survives a lunch break but not a season. Analytics and advertising cookies carry expiry dates set by their providers, documented in those providers’ own policies.
Switching cookies off
Every major browser can block or delete cookies, per-site or globally, under its privacy settings — the browser’s help pages describe the exact steps for each version. Two practical notes. Blocking necessary cookies means the cart forgets its contents between pages, which makes ordering impossible in practice. And deleting cookies also deletes the cookie that recorded a previous cookie choice, so the notice will reappear.
Third parties
Two outside services may set cookies during a visit: PayPal, while the checkout flow runs on its infrastructure, and Google, for the analytics and ad-measurement purposes above. Each operates under its own cookie policy, and Google additionally offers its own opt-out tools for ad personalization that work across all sites, not just this one.
