A tracking number goes out by email the day the finished canvas leaves the production facility — which, given 3-5 business days of production time, is not the day the order was placed. Parcels travel with UPS, FedEx, or USPS, depending on the print size and the destination; a Large canvas sometimes rides a different carrier than a Small one from the same order. The first scan on a fresh tracking number can take 24-48 hours to appear, so an empty tracking page right after the dispatch email is nothing unusual.
Parcels routinely sit for a stretch between scans, especially while crossing between regional hubs, and a few quiet days mid-journey resolve themselves far more often than not. The threshold worth acting on: if 10 business days have passed since the ship date and the parcel still hasn’t arrived, email ⟨EMAIL — SET BEFORE GO-LIVE⟩ with the order number. We open a trace with the carrier and keep the pressure on from our side until it moves or the case closes.
Carriers sometimes scan a parcel as delivered shortly before it physically arrives, or leave it somewhere unexpected. Worth checking before anything else: side doors and porches, a building’s mailroom or package locker, neighbors, and other members of the household. If a full day passes after the delivery scan with still no parcel, get in touch — a delivery investigation with the carrier starts from our end.
When a trace or delivery investigation ends with the carrier unable to produce the parcel, the order gets remade or refunded, whichever is preferred. The claim against the carrier is our problem to pursue, not something the recipient has to fight through.
A tracking page behaving strangely is worth a message to ⟨EMAIL — SET BEFORE GO-LIVE⟩ with the order number — carrier traces get opened from our side, not yours.
